Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Africa February Itinerary image 7

Journey to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, home of the largest population of Black Rhinos in Kenya. Here we’ll pay a visit to the Jane Goodall Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. You’ll also go behind the scenes to visit Najin and Fatu, the last two Northern White Rhinos in the world and learn more about their plight and the inspiring in vitro procedure underway to save the species.

(B) Days 3 & 4

Amboseli National Park

Africa February Itinerary image 9

Nestled in the southern reaches of Kenya, Amboseli National Park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to massive herds of elephants. The majestic snow cap of Mt. Kilimanjaro will tower above as you traverse acacia woodland, grassy plains, and massive swamps fed from the watershed from Mt. Kilimanjaro. Amboseli is also renowned for its excellent variety of wildlife such as the Masai giraffe, elephant, lion, and a spectacular array of birds.

(C) Days 5 & 6

Ngorongoro Crater

Africa February Itinerary image 11

Explore the world's largest intact volcanic caldera, often referred to as the eighth wonder of the world. It’s a literal garden of eden that includes the densest population of lions in the world and the largest rhino population in Tanzania. After touring the crater, visit a Masai Village, duck inside their dung huts, visit their school house, and even purchase a handmade souvenir that supports the village.

(D) Days 7 & 8

Ndutu (Southern Serengeti)

Africa February Itinerary image 13

Journey to Lake Ndutu, with a stop at the newly completed Olduvai Museum, perched on the rim of the famous Olduvai Gorge. This site is home to some of the most significant paleoanthropological discoveries in the world. Continue on into the heart of the Great Migration calving season where 500,000 baby wildebeest are born in the month of February alone.

(E) Days 9 & 10

Seronera Valley (Central Serengeti)

Africa February Itinerary image 15

Central Serengeti encompasses the world-famous Seronera Valley, known for its unparalleled wildlife sightings. Explore the “Kopje” rock formations in hopes of spotting lions lounging like real life lion kings on the rocks. Each of Africa’s Big Five could be spotted around any corner: lions, leopards, rhinoceros, elephant, and cape buffalo. Paradise!

(F) Days 11 & 12

Depart from Arusha

Enjoy one last breakfast accompanied by the African sunrise, followed by a game drive through the Serengeti. From here you will fly to Arusha, a hearty lunch and a stop at your dayroom to freshen up before your flight back to the states. If you’d like to linger longer, explore www.WALLSabout.com/extensions
