Continue on the train journey of a lifetime in the Gold Leaf Cabin. Arrive in Jasper that evening (time TBD). Transfer to Jasper Park Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Early breakfast before an early departure out to tour Lake Annette and Medicine Lake en route to Maligne Lake. Followed by a 90 minute interpretive boat cruise to Spirit Island. Enjoy lunch at a mountain café overlooking the stunning Maligne Lake.
Following lunch we’ll take a short hike to aptly named Moose Lake (1 mile out, 1 mile back – option to stroll by the lake or hang at the café instead). Sit back and enjoy the views of mountains and wildlife as we game-drive back to the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge for an evening of leisure and delicious dinner. Overnight stay at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge that evening.

Breakfast is at your leisure before meeting in the Park Lodge lobby and departing onward to Lake Louise. Head to the lake via the stunning Icefields Parkway. Explore the Columbia Icefield–– the largest glacial icefield in the North American Rockies–– via a 3 hour interpretive glacier walk (or optional tundra buggy ride if you’re not up for a walk).
Depart the glaciers and continue down the Icefields Parkway to arrive in Lake Louise. Check in at the Château Lake Louise before spending the afternoon exploring the mountain hamlet with activities including shopping, horseback riding, in-house spa services, a stroll by the lake or paddle out by canoe on Lake Louise. Enjoy dinner overlooking the lake at sunset. Overnight stay at Château Lake Louise.

Rise early for a morning guided walk at the glacier waters of Moraine Lake. Return back to the resort for brunch and the opportunity to enjoy the amenities and activities at this world class destination. Fill your leisure (canoeing, horseback riding, spa, hiking, yoga, shopping, Beehive Hike + tea). Dinner is on your own tonight, so explore Lake Louise’s thriving culinary scene (including three 4-star restaurants located within the Fairmont alone)! Return to the Château Lake Louise for a good night’s rest and overnight stay.
WALLSabout Tip: Hikers should consider the trek to the Beehive and the Agnes Tea Hut. If you’re in good shape and hike fast, you can do this hike after your visit to Lake Moraine in the morning. If you take a slower pace and love epic hikes, skip the visit to Moraine Lake in the morning and just conquer this hike!

Step outside with the sunrise to capture a photo on the iconic lakeshore right out our front door (one of the most photographed views in Canada). Not interested in the lakeview? Skip the shoreline and opt in for a morning hike to “the lookout”. Trek back into the Château to refresh and pack up for a mid-morning transfer to Banff (approximately a one hour drive).
Upon arrival in Banff, explore this charming mountain town with a bit of shopping before lunch in the village. Afterwards check in at “The Castle in the Rockies” — the Fairmont Banff Springs. The rest of the afternoon is to be spent at leisure on the property where you can enjoy world-class hiking, spa experiences, cultural tours, and even in-resort bowling! Follow up your day with dinner on your own at one of the Banff Springs three fine dining restaurants. Overnight stay at the Banff Springs Lodge.

Take time to also pick up a game of golf, a dip in the hot springs, zip down through the mountains via heli-skiing, or just enjoy a bit of last minute shopping in the village . The extra day includes one additional day/night at our luxury accommodation before the official trip begins, breakfast, with all other activities and meals at your leisure. 7:00 – 9:00 AM –– Enjoy breakfast at your leisure.
9:00 AM departure –– Meet in the lobby of the hotel before embarking via ground transfer to Jasper. Stop in the charming town of Banff for an early lunch, and then onward up the IceFields Parkway (one of the most spectacular scenic drives in the world) before arriving at the Jasper Park Lodge.
Late afternoon is at your leisure to enjoy the lodge (there is great Shopping, Spa Experiences, and Hiking at your doorstep), or opt in for an optional evening game drive to Lake Annette (minutes from the lodge) to seek out the excellent local Elk sightings!
Return for dinner Jasper Park Lodge (and meet up with the rest of the group arriving by train). Overnight stay at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge that evening.

All hikes are optional, but we would recommend being able to hike a 3-mile moderate hike as a minimum to be able to really enjoy each destination. You can sit out on any of the hikes and there are alternative activities for most of them. However, you will need to be able to get into / out of vehicles, transfers, trains, and easily navigate stairs, and short walks to and from vehicles at a minimum.
All hikes are optional, but there are some exceptional hikes of various distance (including long strenuous hikes available for avid hikers.
Yes, if time or budget is a consideration you can skip the train journey, and we will transfer you to Jasper by road (we recommend the train version of this itinerary if time and budget allows).

Yes, there will be opportunities both days in Jasper, three days in Lake Louise, and one day in Banff to do optional hikes from beginner to intermediate to strenuous options are available.
