Arrive in Kenya’s capital city, Nairobi, and unwind at our luxury hotel (see our accommodations at Nairobi is your gateway to the wonders of Africa that await. Spend your arrival day relaxing by the pool, enjoying an in-house spa service (OPTIONAL: choose to come a day early and enjoy one of the light activities in town at

(A) Day 1

Amboseli National Park

Nestled in the southern reaches of Kenya, Amboseli National Park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to massive herds of elephants. The majestic snow cap of Mt. Kilimanjaro will tower above as you traverse acacia woodland, grassy plains, and massive swamps fed from the watershed from Mt. Kilimanjaro. Amboseli is also renowned for its excellent variety of wildlife such as the Masai giraffe, elephant, lion, and a spectacular array of birds.

(B) Days 2 & 3

Lake Nakuru

In the heart of the Great Rift Valley, surrounded by wooded and bushy grassland, Lake Nakuru serves as home to a diverse assembly of wildlife. The area is most known for its immense quantities of flamingos and other species of African birds, though the oasis of the lake attracts an array of other species. Lake Nakuru will become your oasis too, as you take in spectacular views of the lake and wildlife on game drives and from your luxury accommodations.

(C) Days 4 & 5

Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Journey to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, home of the largest population of Black Rhinos in Kenya. Here we’ll pay a visit to the Jane Goodall Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. You’ll also go behind the scenes to visit Najin and Fatu, the last two Northern White Rhinos in the world and learn more about their plight and the inspiring in vitro procedure underway to save the species.

(D) Days 6 & 7

Northern Masai Mara

Travel onward to one of Kenya's most famous national reserves, and the twin of the Serengeti ecosystem - the Masai Mara National Reserve. A veritable paradise of wildlife sightings, the scenic expanse of the African savannah plains is well-known as a highlight of any visit to Kenya. The Masai Mara is a unique wildlife conservation haven. Lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos, and the wildebeest all trek the vast wilderness, where you will join them as they roam.

(E) Days 8 & 9

Southern Masai Mara

Explore deeper into the Mara, to the southern edge where the grassy plains and rolling hills are crossed by the Mara and Talek rivers, and where fortunate travelers gather to witness the wonder of the Great Migration River Crossing - one of the Seven Wonders of the Natural World. The Masai Mara is a unique wildlife conservation haven. Lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos, and the wildebeest all trek the vast wilderness, where you will join them as they roam.

(F) Days 10 & 11

Depart from Nairobi

Enjoy one last breakfast accompanied by the African sunrise, followed by a game drive through the Mara. From here you will fly to Nairobi, a hearty lunch and a stop at your dayroom to freshen up before your flight back to the states. If you’d like to linger longer, explore

    Steve “Fro” Arklay is the Program Director for WALLSabout™ Luxury Travel. Steve resides in Barwon Heads, Australia with his beautiful wife, daughter, and son. He met Benjamin years ago while working at Copper Mountain in Colorado and they’ve been lifelong friends since. Steve has spent the last five years traversing the plains of Africa with WALLSabout™, and is an expert in all things safari. His goal on every adventure is to make you feel completely at home halfway around the world.
